The Australian employer sponsored work visas can consist of meticulous processes requiring the Australian employer to become an approved Standard Business Sponsor before they can nominate you (the applicant) for an occupation that you are qualified for and is on an appropriate occupations list.
Your occupation must be on the skilled occupation list available for that particular Australian employer sponsored work visa. You must meet the requirements of the visa and occupation (as specified by ANZSCO) for the visa to be approved.
There are three types of working visas that an Australian employer can sponsor you on.
