The Department of Jobs and Small Business has published a “Traffic Light Bulletin” outlining proposed changes to the Short Term Skilled Occupations List (STSOL), Medium and Long-term Strategic Skills List (MLTSSL) and Regional Occupations List (ROL) for Australian skilled migration visa program.
All occupations that had been flagged are proposed to be removed from the skilled occupations list on 1 July 2018. See below for flagged occupations.
The Department of Jobs and Small Business undertake regular reviews of the STSOL, MLTSSL and ROL to ascertain the suitability of occupations to Australia’s labour market. In doing this the department consults with industry, unions, employers and individuals.
Everyone who is at stake is encouraged to write a submission in relation to any Australian skilled occupations you think should remain, be added or be removed from the skilled migration occupations list, along with evidence to support your submission.
